Summer 2011

This summer in photos:

Imaginary Karin - Summer 2011 Örnsköldsvik

Went to the beautiful town Örnsköldsvik to visit Markus’ parents. I love that place, if we didn’t have our jobs here I would move there in a heartbeat.

Imaginary Karin - Summer 2011 lake

Went swimming in a lake.

Imaginary Karin - Summer 2011 NES

How cool is this!? A friend has installed a whole bunch of old NES games on his computer AND he also modified two original Nintendo game controllers so they can be plugged into the USB ports! Retro games FTW!

Imaginary Karin - Summer 2011 Zappo

Yay! :D

Summer is quickly coming to an end up here, I’ve already seen several yellow leaves on the trees – but I’m not complaining. Autumn is my favourite season so I’m looking forward to it! ^_^

It looks like you’ve had a lovely summer! I agree, no summer is complete without strawberries. I ended up making more strawberry shortcakes this summer than I ever have before. :P

I wish I knew how to modify a NES controller like that because that is an awesome idea! I’ve had NES and SNES emulators on my computer before, but it’s not the same when you can’t use the original controllers to play the games.

Zappo is adorable. He looks so happy. :D I too am looking forward to autumn. It’s getting cooler here and the leaves are starting to fall. It’s so exciting!

Maybe I should make my friend write a tutorial how the controllers are modified? I’m sure lots of people would want to know.

  4. 25 August 2011

Örnsköldsvik looks like a beautiful area.

The Nintendo geek/80s kid in me loves that game setup, and need to figure out how to modify NES controllers!

Also, have you been feeling that dog crack? Because he looks waaaaaaay too happy. ;)

Thirding the can’t-wait-for-Autumn sentiments. I imagine that area’d look even prettier with all the colours.
