Spooky Box: The Graveyard Box

Time for another Spooky Box! :D This box is inspired by “the beauty found in old cemeteries, from tombstones and skeletons to old customs of keeping a memento belonging to loved ones”.

Sounds like my type of thing, old cemeteries really can be hauntingly beautiful. Let’s see what we got…

The Graveyard Box

This time the box was stuffed with bright purple paper strips and sequins shaped like black bats and pink hearts. It was pretty, and you know I love bats, but it didn’t look very graveyard-ish? The dark teal card on the other hand looked appropriate.

Rather than choosing a new charity each moth they have decided to have just one organization for this whole year. Which is both good and bad imo. I like the idea of spreading the money around and give a little here and there, but on the other hand a larger donation might be more useful.

Anyway, the charity for this year is Cancer Research UK. :)

Trio of mini stitched notepads

These are cute, and the gods know one can never have too many notebooks. :P Too bad the paper is checkered, I would have preferred lined, or even better: blank.

Graveyard memo board pins

Also cute, just need a memo board to stick them on.

Spooky skull nail art kit

Nail foil? This will be interesting! I love nail polish and nail decoration in general, but I’ve never actually tried nail foil before. Will definitely try it! :D

Skelly hands hair clips

They look funny, but also really cheap. Like toys glued on the metal bit. These will be saved for a Halloween costume party or something.

Our darling keepsake pin

Gorgeous little pin! It feels well made too. Maybe I should put it on one of Zaphod’s coats? I mean, if anyone is “our darling” it’s him. :)

Tombstone zip purse

When travelling I always pack my stuff in a million different mini bags, so just as with notebooks: one can never have too many of these. And unlike most of my other zip purses this one is actually my style. I like it a lot. :)

Gravestone dry erase board and pen

I wish it had fasteners or something on the back so I could put it on a wall. And it’s not magnetic so I can’t put it on the fridge either. Nice idea, but I’ll probably forget about it and never use it.

Handcrafted grourmet lollipop

Yaas! :D I’ve gotten one in every box so far, so I have a little lollipop collection now. I know I have to eat them eventually, but I just think they’re so pretty! The flavour of this one is “birthday cake”.

This was overall a nicely put together box. The only items I didn’t enjoy were the hair clips and the memo pad as I see no practical use for them. I really liked the notebooks, the zip purse, and the “our darling” pin. The nail foil too.
I’m still enjoying the boxes so I think I’ll keep my subscription for a little while longer. :)

I really like reading your reviews on this box. I’m glad that you liked most of the items. ❤️

Ah ~ Those looks so adorable! Kind of remind me of “cute goth” style. I think the pin looks particularly cool. Thank you for sharing this!

I like the designs on the notebooks! I agree with you though. I prefer lined or blank paper over the grid patterns. I also like the design on the zip purse, and the “Our Darling” pin is so pretty :) I think that’s odd that the dry erase board didn’t come with a magnet! It seems like a perfect size for the fridge.

I’m glad you’re still enjoying this subscription box!

The hair clips look pretty interesting but I think they are a bit silly, also I am not a huge fan of hair clips myself. Maybe for Halloween? ?

I can never have too many notebooks either but my problem lies in trying super hard not to buy a whole heap at once! I am doing well so far this year, haha.

I tend to use little organza bags or purses to store all the various items in my bag too. The amount of times I have really had to dig around in my bag for something small is countless. My mum is a good example of someone whose bag is full of stuff and has trouble finding anything in it!

Totally cute and creepy. Something that I like and my husband would like.

What a cute little box idea!!! Love the lollipops too :)

I loved the fact that the organization is donating to a charity! And the box is really cute, which I wasn’t expecting by the title of the box, jeje. (:
