First snow 2023

Probably high time to get rid of the outside plants…

It’s that time of the year again! We had our first snowfall yesterday evening. ❄️💙

I both was and wasn’t expecting it as the weather has been all over the place. It has alternated between freezing cold and unusual heat for two weeks, but this Friday the temperature dropped real low and here we are. A lot of the snow melted away during the day, but not all of it. There’s still white here and there.

Sadly I haven’t been able to enjoy the snow much though. I’ve been sick with some horrible cold (or Covid, wouldn’t surprise me) all week and I’m still not well. The fever of the first few days are gone but my head still feels like it is underwater. 🤧 Husband is sick too, so it’s been a miserable week for everyone. The dogs are getting real tired of us just laying around being boring…

But it’s getting better so hopefully I’ll be ready when the next snowfall comes!

It’s nice to see that the first snow finally arrived there, we used to have rainy and cold weather here (around 6-15 max degrees) in this time of the year, you know, real Autumn… but this year we are hitting 30+ degrees during the afternoon since weeks. It’s absolutely crazy, the cherry trees are blooming again, some other trees are losing their leaves, others have no idea of what to do. It feels so wrong and, to me, sad. I’m all ready for spooky season! I hope you’ll feel better soon. I have recently moved and of course I spent the first week in my new apartment with the flu!

It looks lovely! I hope we get snow here this year. I’m in the southern US, and we usually get one or two good snows, but the weather is so weird that you can never really be sure. It has been cooling down over the past couple of weeks, at least. The leaves are falling and it’s looking very much like Halloween, my favorite time of year. :) I hope you and your husband feel better soon! My fiance and I just got over Covid, which we think we picked up from a recent concert we attended.

Beautiful photos! Normally we have snow by now but none yet. It’s been a little more wet and starting to cool down but over all it’s still warmer than usual for this time of year. Your photos make me a little bit more excited for the first snow though!

I hope you and your husband feel better soon!
