Imaginary Karin - first snow 2009

Yep, this Sunday the first snow fell here :) Most of it has melted away of course, it’s still another couple of weeks until it’s here for real. It’s freezing here though, and there’s already a thin layer of ice on the ponds in the valley, so it feels like winter already.

I’m not complaining – I love winter! Not as much as autumn, but it’s a close second :D
There’s something about the first snow, it’s almost magical… Even the most ordinary, boring objects suddenly become beautiful and mystical just by adding a thin layer of white powder.

Is anyone else looking forward to the winter? Or is it just me being weird again? *lol*

ooo… pretty! I love snow (not too much that means we get snowed in our village though). I can’t wait for Winter, but I’m not ready for Autumn to finish just yet.

So pretty! I love snow, but unfortunately we don’t get much of it where I live. :( You’re right, there is something magical about it. I’m looking forward to winter, but like Kim said, I’m not ready for autumn to be over yet!

I am definitely looking forward to Winter. I live in Texas so it only snows maybe once every 4 years (and only for 1 day) It doesn’t really turn cold here until the end of November, so it never even really feels like Winter until late December :P I mean, it’s 95 degrees F outside today!

We’re just coming out of winter now, here in the southern hemisphere, but i love winter so much i’m super jealous! Those pictures make the place look so magical, with the snow wafting down and all… gah!

I love your photographs, they always look gorgeous. Anyway, I’ve been looking forward to winter for the past 21 years but sadly, it doesn’t snow in Singapore. In fact, we have summer all year round because we are situated near the equator.

Looking at your photos, it just reminded me that Christmas is coming.

Just wanted to let you know that for some reason WordPress marked the last comment you left on my blog as spam. x_x I have no idea why. I’ve fixed it, though! Sorry about that. :(

First of all, that apartment building looks awesome. I want to live there lol. Secondly, ugh, snow. I have been hearing about parts of Canada (where I live) getting snow already and it makes me sad. I don’t want any snow yet. I hate cold weather. But I do have to say that snow is pretty and I enjoy looking at it. I agree, it does have a magical feeling to it.

I always look forward to winter! Until February rolls around, and I’ve had enough. ;-)

I keep hearing stories of “first snow!” from all of my friends everywhere – I’m terrified of when it starts to snow where I live. I think I’d start crying; I really dislike winter :P

    Awesome pictures :)
I think snow looks pretty, but I don’t like winter at all. Especially digging my car out of a huge snow pile and then driving in it LOL

I can’t wait winter! I hope we get lots of snow :) We didn’t get that much last year, or past 2 years… We’ve had really warm autumn but if Sweden gets snow I’m keeping fingers crossed that Finland gets too xD
