A day in the woods

It’s been raining for days here. The whole week has been soaking wet and while I don’t really mind rain that much it does make it rather difficult to go out in the forest. Everything gets so muddy and slippery… But today was nice and sunny, so I grabbed the dog AND the camera and headed out :D

Autumn 2011

The Singing Valley (yes, its actual name) or at least part of it. I live on the other side.

Autumn 2011 - Stortallen

This big dead pine tree stands in the middle of a crossroad where 4 trails meet. I wonder what the stick is for (it’s nailed to the tree)…

Autumn 2011

I headed up a mountain ridge since I figured it would be dryer up there. It was :)

King of the hill? :P

Autumn 2011 - blueberries

Blueberries!

Mum, why are you photographing the ground? I’m here!

Autumn 2011

Hm, I wonder who lives here?

Back in the valley again, on “my” side of it this time. It was a nice day :)

Yeah, Mom. Don’t you know that I’m the most beautiful thing around? *wink*

    Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Beautiful scenes, Karin. Makes me want to be there. But then you would have to hide Zappo all the time, lol.

    Beautiful.
I wish we had local places like that that we could visit.

Wow it is absolutely gorgeous there. Your dog is beautiful, too. I adore that last photo.

Wow. It looks gorgeous there, like something out of a fantasy film/book.

Wooow GORGEOUS pictures!! I love places so beautiful as these. Luckily I’ve lived in the countryside all of my life, so I’m surrounded by beautiful things.
