When I had a sidecut

Ta daa! Look what I’ve done
I’ve kept my hair the same way for years, long and straight with no styling whatsoever, but no more!
It was a spur of the moment really. I just happen to walk pass a hairdresser with a really good price, thought “what the heck..” and went in. In the picture it’s combed to one side so you can’t really tell, but it’s an actual mohawk. Both sides are short.

I just need to dye it. When I cut it I got my natural hair colour back (hello, long time no see) which is not as bad as I remembered – but methinks a mohawk requires something a little more edgy 😛
Can’t decide if I want it black or red though. Or maybe black AND red?

At last… the holidays are finally over for us. The Christmas season always requires a lot of travelling and planning. My parents, his parents, my aunt and cousins, his sister and friends in his home town, New Year’s Eve right there in the middle of everything… Phew.
We’ve spent most of this week with Markus’ parents to celebrate Christmas one last time. It’s been fun, but I’m glad the holidays are over and things can get back to normal.

Just thought I should show you some cool stuff from this Christmas season:

Imaginary Karin - Christmas cards 2011

My cards from the Qbee Christmas card exchange! Lissette, Mendifae, Christine, Naoni, Miranda, Grace (the confetti on the table is from her), Bubs, Serenity who also included an adorable lucky star, Amanda, Meggan and Cyberdelia. Thank you all so much!

Did you all survive New Years’ Eve?
Me and Markus spent the day at home, just the two of us. We had tacos for dinner, watched both Sex and the City movies (Markus actually likes them. I am still a little amazed over that.) and at midnight we stood on the balcony watching the neighbours’ fireworks and toasted in water 😛 It was nice and calm, just like Christmas.

I’ve seen this meme floating around for years and I used to do it on my old Swedish blog, so I figured I might as well carry on the tradition:

1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Got a real job in my desired field of work! That was huge for me 😀

2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don’t make New Year’s resolutions. I have my 101 list and I think that’s enough.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nah, noone really close – but one of my step-cousins became a father to a little baby girl.

I WAS going to post a “Happy Holidays” post and pixel something cute and Christmas-y to to go with it, but I didn’t have time. Then I was going to draw something… or at least make a little sketch. But I didn’t have time for that either. Guess it’s to late now 😛

Me and Markus spent the weekend at my mother’s house and Christmas Eve with my dad. I got to see the relatives again and eat obnoxious amounts of food. It was really nice overall. Even the weather played nice.
There’s been total chaos in the southern half of the country due to the snows and cold, but in the northern end everything was calm. Cold as fuck, but calm.

I”ll post again after New Year, so until then I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend, regardless of what/if you’re celebrating, and that you will have a happy new year!

Today is the annual Qbee Blog Day! :yay:
Last year I posted about the club, how much it means to me and why you ALL should join *poke poke*

This year I think I’ll talk about what we actually do in the club.

Trade patches

Trading patches is the main “thing” in the club and the only required activity. But you only have to trade once a month, so it’s not much. I think trading is the thing I do the least of to be honest.

Club activities

Then we have the club activities organized by the staff. It can be pretty much anything. The annual Blog Day is one of them. Right now we also have an Advent calendar (get a patch for your quilt every day!) and a secret Santa project where the participants get assigned a random bee to make a gift for without revealing who they are.

In the spring we often have an Easter egg hunt where we first make a shitload of eggs and then hide them on our websites. So to find them you have to search through EVERY website in the member list.
