Liebster Award

Imaginary Karin - Liebster Award

A while ago I got the Liebster Award passed over to me by the lovely Cat. I know I took my sweet time posting about it, but I’m very happy to receive it! Thank you! ^_^ <3

Liebster Award Rules:

  6. Display the Liebster Award logo on your page.
  7. List these rules on your post.

Cat’s questions:

Toilet paper, over or under? (This is a serious question that can break relationships ok)

Over. Everything else is wrong and I will silently (or not so silently) judge anyone who puts it the other way.

What is your most memorable vacation so far and why?

I think when me and Markus spent a week on Gotland in 2013.
I had never been there before and found the island incredibly beautiful and surreal. It’s not that far away, but it was like being transported to another country and back in time at the same time.
It was also our first real vacation together just him and me. We had travelled a lot before, but always with friends and family, and that’s not the same thing. That week was just us, and we both appreciated getting that time together.

What’s your favorite thing to have for breakfast?

I almost never eat breakfast. I’m not a morning person and way too tired to eat anything before work. Usually, I just have a small sandwich or something at the office. For my first meal of the day, I prefer something light, like just a sandwich and a glass of milk or maybe some yoghurt.
I know all the experts say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and blah blah blah, but I’ve tried and I just feel sick and nauseated if I eat in the morning. I’ve even thrown up a few times when I forced myself to eat before my body was ready.

What is a skill you wish you had?

For pure fun, I think singing or playing an instrument. Singing in particular seems to be an appreciated skill among people.
For usefulness, I’d say knowing how to tinker with machinery. Like being able to fix a broken engine and stuff like that. It would be really neat to be able to repair my own car when/if it breaks.

What song are you currently addicted to?

If someone said they’d cover the cost of the next thing you buy, what would it be?

Is there a price limit? ‘Cause if not I’d ask them to get me a house, haha!
Something more realistic would be a new kitchen table + chairs. Mine are currently holding together with duct tape and wishful thinking, so if anyone could drop some cash on that it would be great.

Do you like collecting anything?

I don’t have anything I’m serious about collecting, but I have a thing for witches and tend to buy everything “witchy” I can get my hands on. I have quite a collection actually now that I think about it, including a huge tattoo on my left arm. Maybe I should write a post with pictures of all my witches?

Is there a language you wish you knew?

ALL OF THEM! I love languages! I already know some German and French, but it would be great to be fluent. Or at least as good as I am with English. :P
I’d also love to speak Icelandic and Norwegian. Icelandic is the most original and best preserved of the Nordic languages, and Norwegian is just plain adorable.
And of course Sindarin and Quenya because I’m a massive nerd…

What is your favourite childhood show?

Mokey was my favourite character, and the Trash Heap always scared the crap out of me…

A cupcake, brownie, and cookie are on a table, but you can only grab one. Which one do you choose?

Brownie.
Unless the cupcake is a chocolate cupcake..?
Nah, I’d still go for the brownie.

What’s the best movie you’ve seen this year so far?

Hm… I watch a lot of movies, but it’s mostly just old crappy horror flicks. Or old crappy Swedish comedies.
I saw Jurassic World in the theatre when it came out, and rampant ridiculousness aside I actually liked it a lot. I say Jurassic World!

I’m nominating…

Louise
Liz
Jess
Faith McKay
Sarah

My questions:

Do you have any middle names?

What’s your favourite Disney movie of all time? (I assume everyone has seen at least one Disney movie in their lives)

If you could have any pet you want, what would it be and what would you name it?

What does your living room look like? (Bonus points for pictures!)

Best monsters: werewolves, vampires, or zombies?

Do you enjoy playing (video/computer) games? What types of games do you like the most?

If you could be a fictional character for one day, who would you be and why?

Can you tell us about the best birthday you’ve ever had so far?

Where would you go if you could be instantly teleported anywhere in the world right now?

Yay, thanks for answering my questions! I really liked reading your answers to all of them, and I totally agree with toilet paper going over XD

Wow, Gotland is beautiful, and that looked like an awesome trip. Traveling with just your significant other is definitely different! I think it’s fun to travel with friends or family, but I still prefer trips where it’s just me and my husband :)

I wish I could sing too! I’m also amazed at people who can work on their own cars. That seems so useful to know.

I would love to see a post about your witches collection :) I think it’s interesting to see things people collect because it’s different for everyone. I also enjoyed Jurassic World!

Aww, thanks for the nomination! Will definitely get around to this soon – in the mean time I’m going to go check out some of the other nominations :)

Please do post your witchy collection, I’d love to see it!

I was going to your blog to tell you about the nomination and you beat me to it, haha! Well, at least you know. :)

I love love Fraggle Rock! I’m glad someone else loved the show, too~ I’m glad I’m not the only one that remembered it. Interesting and catchy song there.

Now, I have the theme song to Fraggle Rock stuck in my head. Hahaha

I loved Fraggle Rock so much and it makes me sad that a lot of people doesn’t seem to remember it at all. But now at least I know that it’s one more person out there! :D
Sorry about the earworm though, haha!

I FINALLY did this! Thanks for tagging me, it was fun :)

I love Fraggle Rock! In high school I spent some time looking up covers of the theme song. It was a fun/weird mix cd. :) Mokey was my favorite, too!

I have trouble eating in the morning as well. It just doesn’t agree with me either.

That is cool that you collect things Witchy. Do you also collect books related to that subject? I have a collection of them that I don’t want anymore. The only issue would be postage. Australia is so expensive with overseas postage. -______-

    Loved reading your answers. :D

Ooh, what kind of books are they? If it’s something I’m interested in I could buy them from you :) I guess postage from Australia would be expensive though, especially since books tend to be heavy and bulky.

These things are so fun! I also agree with the toilet paper. It’s just so hard to find the end when it’s under!
