Show of hands, who here plays Guild Wars 2?
I bought it 2 days ago and is currently having tons of fun wrapping my head around this colourful new world and it’s inhabitants!
My boyfriend had graciously allowed me to try it out on his account – and I liked it a lot – but then he wanted to play too and he was out of character slots because of me and long story short I ended up buying my own copy. Having my own account means I can play around and make new characters without having to ask first, and also that we can play together.
Not that I’m sure playing with him is the best idea, come to think of it…
He’s the action driven CRASH BANG KILL EVERYTHING RUUUUUNN kind of player whereas I’m more like stop and smell the flowers I have to read the whole quest description ooh this town is pretty let’s explore don’t kill the cute monsters. So, yeah. :oops: :blush:
I’ve made two characters so far:
This is Moreli Medina, a Sylvari Necromancer.
This is so unlike me. Necromancer? Really? I’m a heavy armour girl, I like shields and broadswords, and I never go for the grim looking “dark arts” classes. But this time, for some reason, the Necromancer icon sort of called to me and I decided to just go with it.
So far I actually like her. She’s a bit more squishy than I’m used to, but the attacks are pretty cool, and I’ve decided her disgusting “pet” is pretty cool too. Even though it took some getting used to… I call him Guts, because that’s what he is.
I also created Dovila, an Asura Engineer.
The Asura look like the house elves from Harry Potter – but cuter! Their animations are adorable too, sort of clumsy and acrobatic at the same time. And I love the Engineer profession! It’s not a heavy armour class, but it’s steampunk which is awesome. :rock:
Anyway, I’m on the Gandara server (European) if anyone want to come say hi! :D
First of all; thank you for the comment! And to answer your question: it lasts for about a month, then it fades into a pretty greenish color. I only wash my hair every other day to keep the color for as long as possible.
That game looks really awesome! I wanna play, but I’ve already got so many games I’m trying to beat right now. xD
It kinda reminds me of World of Warcraft. I like those fantasy type games. :3 I really wanna give Lord of the Rings online a try. I’ve been obsessed with the books and movies since I was a kid. ^_^
I’ve never played Guild War games, myself. They do remind me a lot of World of Warcraft, though… which makes me wish I had my own computer to play either one of them ^_^ Video game graphics are so realistic nowadays, it’s ridiculous, but lovely :heart:

Your description of the differences between your boyfriend and you sound strangely familiar, haha! I think I spent close to three hours exploring Lion’s Arch when I first visited that city, and I like to stop to listen to NPC conversations or just find a mountain top and look around. My boyfriend however… “KILL EET!” :D
We play on a different server, but maybe I’ll pop in and say hi some day ^^
I used to play Guild Wars! I haven’t tried GW2 though, I’m assuming it’s similar though. The characters look great! Love the second one :) I was a healer since no one ever wanted to be one but I pwned hahaha. She was like a healer fighter :)
I’m like you when I first start games, I like to explore and say hi to the cute animals but then I slowly becoming like your boyfriend and go Rambo style in and crush all in my path lol! Only because I start to get competition from friend to level up hehehe.

I love Guild Wars 2 so, so very much!!! Jen and I have been playing together since Feb this year, and we’ve had a blast. I have all my character slots filled, plus one additional one, hah. I am currently leveling a Mesmer, she’s almost level 50 and I started her on Halloween, haha. :love: My highest is a Ranger. I love all of the classes, though in previous MMOs I’ve been more of a Paladin type. I love rolling a mage, or other magic user, though. I’m on Tarnished Coast NA server. Role-playing! :D
Oh yeah! You may grow to absolutely love the Necro pets. They really do have their own charm. ^_^ Your characters look awesome. :D
Oh, I love Guild Wars 2! I haven’t played in a while, but my main character is a sylvari elementalist. I love the sylvari. :love:
The game is so gorgeous, I spend way too much time just running around looking at everything too. And I always have to read all of the descriptions. I was like that when I played WoW too. My goal is to get as fully immersed in the game as I can!
I have never played it myself, but I am glad that you are enjoying it and your characters look great. It would be better to have your own account. I guess in your team, you have the one who reads and the one who kills all the things haha. :heart:
