Back to normal (last of the Xmas stuff)

At last… the holidays are finally over for us. The Christmas season always requires a lot of travelling and planning. My parents, his parents, my aunt and cousins, his sister and friends in his home town, New Year’s Eve right there in the middle of everything… Phew.
We’ve spent most of this week with Markus’ parents to celebrate Christmas one last time. It’s been fun, but I’m glad the holidays are over and things can get back to normal.

Just thought I should show you some cool stuff from this Christmas season:

Imaginary Karin - Christmas cards 2011

My cards from the Qbee Christmas card exchange! Lissette, Mendifae, Christine, Naoni, Miranda, Grace (the confetti on the table is from her), Bubs, Serenity who also included an adorable lucky star, Amanda, Meggan and Cyberdelia. Thank you all so much! <3Imaginary Karin - Christmas 2011 pony envelope

I got a nice surprise on Lissette’s card. Have you seen that type of pony before? ;) It’s really cool, gotta keep that envelope!

Imaginary Karin - birthday 2011

Our parents gave us some neat stuff for the apartment. The lamp in the ceiling that looks like a U.F.O., the floor lamp in the corner behind the couch and the carpet under the table.
Got us a whole new living room :D

Another really cool gift was these silver spoons my grandmother gave me. Both my father and grandfather used to participate in an annual skiing competition (cross-country skiing) where the winner got an engraved silver spoon. Together they’ve won 10! The first is from 1961 and the last is from 1979. I think it’s pretty cool, and rather impressive.

I got other gifts as well, but these are the coolest ones so I won’t spam the blog with more pictures. Did anyone else get something nice?

EDIT: I’ve now received Ori’s card :D It’s really original, thank you!

Ooh, neat stuff. The “ooh, SHINY” part of me loves those spoons — very lovely and terribly interesting. And I have to say, your living room is awesome. Even without the items you just got, you have awesome taste. (And yes, I’m probably saying that because mine looks surprisingly similar. ;)) It’s also good to know that I’m not the only one who keeps interesting envelopes. :P

    Hi Karin!
I know this post is late but I had to come & post. ^_^
First of all love how your apartment is decorated.
That floor UFO looking lamp looks amazing(how come I didn’t get one? LoL) ;)
Love the detail on the spoons & can I say your family has great taste. :P
Ok, so of course I had to add the pony onto the envelopes.
I really love the ponies you did for me, thank you very much.
Aww, too bad you didn’t take a pic of the back side.
I was really proud of how my envelopes turned out. ^_^
Hope you have a wonderful day! :)
